Hi! Welcome to the next episode of “We teach to sign!”. I work as a programmer and IT specialist, so I have prepared a glossary of signs for you related to IT and technology. Let’s get started!

Do you remember when I signed my profession? COMPUTER SPECIALIST, IT, and this is a PROGRAMMER, PROGRAMMING. What equipment do I use in my work? COMPUTER MONITOR KEYBOARD MOUSE LAPTOP TABLET SMARTPHONE PRINTER SCANNER PENDRIVE Of course, you need INTERNET and ROUTER to work, thanks to which I have WI-FI.

Polish sign language signs related to communication

I meet for video calls via the Internet, I also use various APPLICATIONS and PROGRAMS. What are the signs related to on-line meetings? I will show:

  • ZOOM
  • SKYPE
  • WHATSAPP
  • GOOGLE CLASSROOM
  • MESSENGER

Of course, I also send MAILS. When using the Internet, remember about safety. Set strong PASSWORDS and do not CLICK on suspicious LINKS.

Social media and IT vocabulary in sign language

Exercises

At the end, I have prepared a short revision game. In a moment she will show four signs of sign language. Your task is to remember what they mean and to guess which word does not match the others.

  • Task 1 [LAPTOP, COMPUTER, TABLET, ALGORITHM] Do you know which sign does not match? We throw away the “algorithm”.
  • Exercise 2: [Facebook, printer, YouTube, Instagram]. Wondering which one doesn’t match? It’s a “printer.”
  • Exercise 3: [ZOOM, Skype, keyboard, WhatsApp]. And how? Surely you already know which does not fit. Yes, the “keyboard”. Tasks already solved.
