Polish Sign Language

Polish Sign Language PJM

Polish Sign Language is the sign language of deaf people in Poland. It is their natural way of communicating as it allows them to communicate with each other without any obstacles.

Polish Sign Language was first introduced in 1880 by a Polish priest named Władysław Mazurek. He created this language to help deaf people in Poland communicate with each other and share their culture more easily. The language has evolved over the years and has now become a very rich and complex language that you can use to express any idea or thought you want to convey.

How Sign Language Works

Sign language is a language that communicates using the hands. It has its own vocabulary, grammar, and syntax.

Sign language is one of the fastest growing languages in the world. There are over 500 different dialects of sign language that are evolving over time. Sign language was created by deaf people due to lack of access to spoken languages and is not related to any spoken language on earth. Recent research has shown that the alphabet of sign language has evolved and changed since it was introduced in 1817 by Father Charles-Michel de l’Épée.

Sign languages are not as standardized as spoken languages and are not written down. This means that sign language can change over time without people being aware of it.

How sign language came about

The first written version of sign languages was the Bébian system, developed in 1825. It was created by a French priest who studied deaf people and tried to learn their language.

A French priest, Father Charles-Michel de l’Épée, is considered the father of sign language. He is also known as the “Father of Deaf Education”.

Charles-Michel de l’Épée learned about deaf people and their language when he volunteered at the Paris Asylum for the Deaf in 1760.
